SESSION 6 How to write a program 1
Your first time programming

Helloooooo~
NAPO-chan!

I'm looking
forward to
today too!!!

Oh -- oh!?

Ahh, mornin'.
You're awfully
cheerful, huh.

Today we're writing
a program, right!

C'mon, hurry up!

Woohoo!
Woohoo!
Stop jumping
around so much!

Yeah, that's right.
Well then, shall we get started
right away?

Let's create an actual program
by entering code
into the source file.

Go ahead and run NetBeans.

Using the file window,
bring up KNMain.java from the
source folder (src) of the project
you created last time.

We'll write the test code in there.

source folder

Your first program code(KotoTest's KNMain.java)

001    /*
002     * To change this template, choose Tools | Templates
003     * and open the template in the editor.
004     */
005
006   package kototest;
007
008    /**
009     *
010     * @author Koto
011     */
012    public class KNMain {
013
014           /**
015            * @param args the command line arguments
016            */
017            public static void main(String[] args) {
018                   // TODO code application logic here
019
020                  System.out.println("Hello world!"); <- part added
021
022           }
023
024 }

Copy the part in yellow on line 20 into the same place in KNMain.java.
Enter a new line above and below it so that it's easy to see.

And now. Your memorable
first program.
Copy the yellow part into
your source file.

Of course it's fine if you don't
understand the contents yet.

Alright!

I'll do my best!!

Ummmm,
ummmm…
Geez, Koto…

Don't tell me you
can't even touch-type.
tap
tap

Eek!
But that's…

That 'touch-typing' thing,
doesn't that mean hitting
the keys without looking
at your hands?

I, I just…

Yes, yes.

Well, why don't you just
close your eyes a little
and give it a try for me?

*beaming smile*

Hey,
don't go to sleep!
And on top of that
she's having a
self-centered
dream
munya~

See, look
at me…

Ahh, can't be helped…

I'll make some training software
for you, so hurry up and
get good at it.

If you practice every day
for 2-3 weeks, you'll be able to
do it.

Okay!

I'll do my best!

Thanks!

We're very sorry. At the moment there is no English version.

We have prepared the 'Typing Training Software - Koto Type'
for practicing touch-typing.

If you have trouble with touch typing, please try practicing
together with Koto.
